Subject: When you lose the core of the offense, it 's hard to go into the season with high expectations. From the four games I saw, we played pretty much to the level of our talent. I don't think the coach cost us any games with on the field decisions. Team preparation was probably ok. It is very hard to tell if you don't see practice. All in all, I think the Coach did a good job. The PL is better than many give it credit for. On funding, everything I've read saysour budget is at or above everyone elses. Facilities are another matter but how do you explain 3 good seasons on the same field?

Rich, we are making great progress on raising money and facilities. The amount of $$ raised is great, but it is from a narrow group of folks. When I heard how many people donated above $100 I was shocked. We need more people gifting to make a difference instead of blaming the coach, bad calls, facilities, etc. (NT)ROWAN11:26:28 11/21/04 Sun

I better understand now what you mean by "alumni penetration". And I thought it was something you guys in Philadelphia say. Yes, we definitely should try to attract donors of any amounts, get more fans back to the campus and into the stands and add to the number of supporters of football at Fordham. The Bill Walshes and other generous souls got us going in the right direction but we must sustain, then expand, upon it ourselves. WE CANNOT BE COMPLACENT AND SLIDE BACK (NT)R. We need new blood, new, younger football alums to get involved. (NT)Maroon21:31:19 11/21/04 Sun
