"Sorry, Dalamar, but my reflexes are better than that!" *Grinning, her sword stopped instantly and she missed the swipe of his sword by a mile. Her breath was coming quickly from both excitement and exertion, and her voice was a bit breathless. Her thrusts coming fast and furious as ever, she noticed that the shadows were lengthening...dusk was approaching, and the fight would have to end shortly. A ruefull smile crossed her face... she was having so much fun!! Determined to make the best of the time she had, she doubled her efforts, once again ignoring the sting of Dalamar's sword as it grazed her side. A thought tugged at the corners of her mind...since this was a practice duel, after all...she decided to try it. It was one of her newest tactics. Still grinning, she feinted to the right, drawing his balance in that direction, then struck out to the left, timing it perfectly. With a sudden burst of concentration and strength, she launched herself into the air, but kept her sword low. This allowed her to get into striking range without endangering herself. Her sword snaked into the small space between his elbow and side...she inwardly congratulated herself for a move well done. No matter if she struck or not, she had preformed one of the most difficult moves (especially when fighting one as tall as an elf, for they were tall and you needed a large vertical leap) to pefection. She landed on the balls of her feet, in a good position to strike again, her focus completely centered on the task at hand.*
