Dalamar pulled away quickly. He hadn't expected an attack quite like that. He was just a split-second too slow. His balance had been drawn one way, and now it was difficult to move too quickly. Her sword scraped him, making a shallow cut on his arm. However, her attempt at the move had inspired him to try an advanced move he had seen, using the same basic principle. He was breathing hard, and also noticed the lenghtening shadows. He calmed himself, applying all his concentration to the move he was about to try. His breathing became calm and regular. Time seemed to slow. Everything became blurred, except for the two duelists and their swords. A weight seemed to settle in his stomache. He knew that the move he was going to attempt was very advanced and that he could injure himself if he miscalculated. He stepped back, then lept high into the air, propelling himself forward, sword held low, not giving any openings for her to attack. His dive carried him downwards, onto the ground where he tucked himself into a ball and rolled with surprising speed behind her, where he popped up and begun his attack anew.
