Subject: Horse of a different color.

If you read my earlier post about information being removed from the main page and back and forth with Don there is still a question of why a white horse patch bears 12th SPs under it instead of Laison. The patch was never sewn on that is displayed on Patches and Crests or letters and stories on CRB's drop menu.

The Red Horse is an AF heavy construction Sq. The 555th Red Horse was at CRB, and provided their own security on their compound. I never got past their gate guards who prevented scrounging, even as LE on patrol. Their patch is a Red Horse driving a bull dozer with a rifle on its shoulder. Their mascot was a Philippine pony named Step and a half who was later sent to the 554th in Thialand.

The White Horse patch is a rearing white horse on a blue circular patch with white line around the edge. This patch is the patch of the ROK army division stationed north of 6Th Convulsant Hosp. Also artillery batteries south of Sui Chin. In my year book there is a photo of an SP in the ROK CSC who could very well be Steve Gattis who placed the patch on our site with improper label.

As we are all getting older it's my desire to see nothing but accurate information on our site as it is our responsibility and legacy to leave to our followers.

Larry
