Subject: SCAM On Facebook

This info was posted on facebook and from the other folks that were talking about this, she is also sending out info about other vehicles like a tractor and truck too!! Be careful if U get any info from her!!! Pete

Ladies and Gents,
I am still kind of awe about this situation so bear with me. I just had a unsuccessful scam ran on me. How this relates to this group is the woman claimed she is currently active duty Air Force and she was pcsing from Offout AFB, Nebraska to another base in Alaska and claimed she could not take her vehicle with her. I called to the base where I was previously stationed and had a coworker check her name in global. No person in the Global under that name. Ther...e was a listing on the offer up app I use. I called, no answer then received a text from the number to reach her at an email address. I found out about the scam when I called EBay Motors to verify the invoice #. This is what is going on with someone using a fake Active Duty status. Despicable.
FYI, the phone number where it came from was
(262) 737-8443, claiming to be her brother, the woman's name was
Silvia Turner, and the email she used was silvt172@gmail.com
This was in regard to a 05 Honda Accord with 71k miles for $1500.
Scam. Be aware.
