Steve, you are 100% accurate with all you have said here on this posting, I know it for a fact as I was there with you on the perimeter defending Binh Thuy AB in "68-69" and when we were attacked by the VC, they had never asked if we were Marine or Army grunts serving down there in the Mekong Delta as they didn't care at all. The only thing Charles cared about was that we were Americans and they wanted all of us dead regardless of which branch of the U.S. Armed Forces in which we were serving, just like you Steve, I still hear to this day just how great we who served in the Air Force had it in Vietnam and that we lived like we were back Stateside with Air Conditioned concrete barracks and the best chow halls serving everything single thing our hearts desired in Vietnam while they lived on C-rations their whole tour of duty. Never heard of any enemy shells ever asking us if we were in the Navy or the Air Force before they exploded on us! We all did our jobs and served our country and we all had faced the same risks as everyone else over there during our tours of duty. Terry Sasek BT "68-69" LM#687
