Subject: TODAY IS OUR 43RD WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

Today Ellie & I will be celebrating our 43rd anniversary, I have always said that she was my Guardian Angel down here on Earth and has been on this journey with me side by side since the day I first met her at a friends house warming party celebrating their purchase of a brand new home. She worked as a nurses aide at the local hospital with my friends wife and her and several other nurses and nurses aides came over after they got off of the afternoon shift, I told her that night that I would marry her and they all laughed at my statement because she had a boyfriend already who was in the Navy over in the Mediterranean serving on a ship. Well it took me 3 months to convince her that it was a mistake to hook up with that guy since he hardly wrote to her and was very evasive about why he was ignoring her. It all came to a head one day when he called her and said he might visit her when he came home on leave that next month but she told him that she had met the man of her dreams and that she would not have anything more to do with him and did not want him to contact her anymore as she was starting over with me instead. That was great news for me and just before Christmas 1973 I proposed to her and she accepted in a second, we were married on September 7th 1974 and after 43 years of marriage to her we both say it was the best thing either of us ever did. She calls it a match made in Heaven and I will tell everyone that I am the luckiest man on Earth because of her and that very fast yes she had said then when I proposed to her.
