Hi, Steve.

The only time we have ever voted on the location for 2021 was at this reunion and it MUST be in the WEST Region because we are in the EAST this year and CENTRAL in 2020.

We select a site two years in advance which is why Colorado Springs was selected last year for 2020. This is the year we select for for 2021. Omaha has never been selected, although it has been discussed when you suggested it last year when we were selecting a site for the CENTRAL Region. Last year, we selected Colorado Springs as the primary site, Albuquerque as secondary site and Tinker AFB in Oklahoma if Colorado Springs and Albuquerque were not available. Albuquerque has already been ruled out as a secondary site due to the Balloon Festival at the same time as our reunion, which will eliminate available hotels in the area. Colorado Springs is still a GO at this time.

You may go to the online minutes for the 2018 reunion which were published in Guardmount earlier this year. The minutes cover the entire selection process for 2020. The minutes for the 2019 reunion will be published in the next issue of Guardmount and explain the entire selection process for the 2021 reunion.
