The VSPA received the following message from Pat Throneburg:

My family and I are most grateful and thankful for your care and your generosity.

Robert was so proud and so happy to be a member of VSPA. Like so many who served during the Vietnam war, he was pushed aside by some neighbors, and even by some "friends" when he returned to the states. I remember our next door neighbors refusing to allow our oldest son, Brian, to play with their son (both 2 years old!) because Robert had fought in that war.

Being an member of VSPA finally gave him the ability to accept what he went through as something good and honorable instead of something inhuman. It changed not only Robert, but our entire family for the good.
