Subject: VA Claims Information

Hi.

As your new VSPA Service Officer, I would like to share my contact information with all of you so you can contact me whenever you have questions about filing a claim with the VA for service connected illness and injuries. It’s never too late to file a claim for your well deserved benefits. My information is: Cell # 301-848-3399 and my email address is chiefjal9@gmail.com.

Also, for those of you that have a 100% disability rating, don’t forget to look into the Dependency & Indemnity Compensation (DIC) process. DIC is a monthly benefit awarded to the surviving spouses. This is very important for your spouse. There are forms that should be filled out in advance and store in a safe place with your other military documents just in case, if you know what I mean.
