Subject: RAF Mildenhall C130 theft 1969

this is interesting for anyone stationed at RAF Mildenhall.
In May, 1969 Sgt Paul Meyer, a C-130 maintenance man based at Langley AFB, Virginia with the 316th Tactical Airlift Wing, stole the C-130E to which he was assigned and took off. The airplane crashed in the English Channel
at RAF Mildenhall and took off in it at 0655 hrs
