I enlisted in Jan 1955. Attended Basic and Base Combat Defense School(Air Police) at Parks AFB, Calif. Volunteered for Germany out of Tech School and was assigned to the 50th Ftr Bomb Wing at Hahn AB, Germany. Being a youngster, did not really appreciate the assignment. Re-enlisted in 1958 and assigned to Sheppard AFB, Texas. Best tours were Hickham AFB, Hawaii and my 2nd tour at Hahn AB Germany 1973 - 1976. Sheppard was the 3rd best. Was also stationed at Hollman AFB, NM, Otis AFB, Ma (Worst of all), Hamilton AFB, Calif, Turkey and Pease AFB, NH. Bud Owens, Binh-Thuy, 66/67.
