The U.s has placed and has had a better history in all world pagents than us. Karine Fahamy was one of the shortest Miss Egypt's she placed very high among all the tall girls that we have sent to miss universe. Many countries have sent shorter contestants. It is a beauty contestant not a height competition. We make height more important than it reall is. It should be a part of the package, but the girl should be beautiful and sexy for judges people and everyone to notice her and like her. Not be tall, can't walk and cant speak. I like Fawzeya a lot and this is not an issue of her or of meriam who I admire or heba who was great, it is just an issue that we really make it more important than it is just to send a beautiful girl. It almost sounds like we are looking for tall basketball centers or girls to play the post! Its a + for a model to be tall. [> Subject: Height will always help and delegate competing in a pageant BUT if the lady is gorgeous, full of life and personality and is smart and caring that over-rides height and people would take extreme notice of her. I didn't see Miss Egypt 2006 but Fawzeya looks quiet to me. I may be totally off the mark but the first thing any Miss Egypt should do is make sure she's taken notice of!
