Subject: The Goldberg Variation

I think Scully sums up this episode quite accurately in response to one of Mulder's theories, "you're speaking as if we're all trapped in one of those contraptions that he built."
Personally, I found the ep far too superficial. There were some funny things happening along the way & some decent M & S banter, but it didn't really turn it around for me. All the other characters were well worn cliches. Perhaps this was the intention, to highlight how we all impact the world around us, that every action has an equal & opposite reaction, but hasn't this plot been done to death? I really missed the usual XF treatment & depth. This felt like an episode of 'Highway to Heaven'. Sick child, timely discovery of a donor, etc, etc.

I hope someone will give me another reason to watch this ep again other than the way GA looks in that outfit. She always looks sexy, but in this ep she looked outrageously so.

XXX Sig :)
