OK, Det. Normally I don't care about celebrities'(sp?)lives. They do their job and I rate them on the work. Who cares about their personal life. I want to hear about their projects and thats it. This cult of personality is a disease for people with empty lives. I'll give an a**hole star credit if the work they do is great. And I can see how they are victims of reporters and gossips claiming that they are a**holes when they are not.

That said, Duchovny should have quit after S7 and got it over with. Why do a half-assed job? Don't agree to half a season if you feel the role is no challenge anymore. And if they shoot in LA, Tea is waiting at home evry night just like Joe Blow the factory worker's wife when he gets home (Oooo-that was sexist-I mean they get home from their jobs, too). If they are having kids, which I didn't know NOR care about, then dad should be bread-winning the kid's college tuition right now. 2 months off a year and weekends and nights one would assume on the usual schedule. Same as a teacher only they can't say "its too much, I need more time off."

I'll take it as is (the show) because I'm a fan but DD should take the extra $$$ for a whole season or say NO. Fox is the desperate party for insisting on an S8 I'll admit but do a job fully or not at all.

I didn't have to see "Return to Me" to know it was sentimental, Lifetime Network crap!!! Minnie Driver has his dead wife's heart? Lame! 90% of Hollywood movies are lame, same with TV. I only watch X-Files, Buffy the vampire Slayer/Angel(better than you might think), Star Trek, news shows and documentaries and wrestling(thats my dumb, guilty pleasure). Movies: go see independent or foreign films for real stories and emotions. "Return to Me" is marketed, watered down BS. Recent stuff I liked: Dogma, Ghost Dog, Small Time Crooks, Magnolia, Boys Don't Cry, Fight Club, Boogie Nights, Trainspotting, Fresh, stuff on Independent Film Channel or Bravo and anything by Martin Scorsese, Kevin Smith, Jim Jarmusch, Quentin Taratino, Woody Allen, Paul Thomas Anderson, sometimes Spike Lee is my cup of tea.
