Hi Lazlo:

I agree with you but Pam brought up a valid question regarding ownership to the bands name so I wanted my post to be under hers...however, I remember a post by Gerry, before her passing (RIP Gerry we all miss you!!) mentioning seeing Brian in New York Spring/early Summer 1969). Saying he was in the U.S. for business and pleasure. The business part could have been about Brian taking the legal steps necessary to "cover his ass" in case he were to ever leave the Stones etc... including ownership to the band's name.

Just a theory of course but why else would he have been in NY and indeed mention Business as well as pleasure? He knew his time with the Stones was coming to an end. Let's not forget Brian was very intelligent and always seemed to be a step ahead of other musicians when it came to music and even business sense.

All the best,

George
