Subject: New Forum Members????

It seems to me that this board has a very nasty attitude toward any new members. Some of us newbies are either ignored or left out of the loop (private conversations of the oldies on topics that we don't have a clue about and should really be on a chat room set up) And to top it all off clearly crucified for differing opinions or like Linda trying to get the board back to a discussion of Brian through her collages.
WOW, WJO and a few others act like they own the board and are ready to pounce on someone when they don't like what they see or read. It's not constructive criticism bur cruel and mean. It's like they've adopted Brian Jones' nasty side instead of the kind and sensitive side of his personality. Where Brian is now - I don't think he would be happy with this situation. Do you?
I confess that I've been nasty here myself but you seem to bring the worst out in people with your posts.
Is this the kind of board you want for new members? IF so, then you are going to get many who are ready to leap in and fight back in more nasty ways.
There are some very lovely people on this board like Sioux,
Delilah, Linda, Miss Debby and a few others. It seems they would like to have the board as a gathering of friends to discuss Brian Jones, his music, his insights, his painful and sometimes debilitating mental state, and the bad and good things that made up the whole person.
I was singled out by Lazlo for creating different aka's but WOW wrote some pretty demeaning things under his aka's and he wasn't asked to stop. See, it's the older forum members that rule the roost. This forum does have administrators but they turn a blind eye to some of the comments made here. I was called "creepy" because I have a bi-polar condition. Just goes to show that you don't know anything about mental illness and how it can afflict anyone at anytime in there life. Any one of you can wake up one morning with any number of mental maladies. I don't wish this on anyone but don't put anyone down because they can stand up and say: "I have this problem and I'm dealing with it to the best of my abilities".
Linda wrote a poem a few weeks back about Brian "Understand Me". It could be written about any one of us who are still breathing on this earth. "Take a walk in my shoes" - we all have our personal demons to contend with - let's encourage one another and not back-bite to the point that people really feel put down and hurt. Not everybody has the ability to fight back. Some people are sensitive and get crushed easily but these same people can
be a balm to someone who is hurting
We won't always agree on things that are posted but if you don't agree at least have the curtesy to say nothing or say it in a way that won't hurt others feelings. Yes, I'm guilty, too, but it ain't gonna be that way any longer.
This message really should have been written by an administrator and not me.
