I am sorry you feel that "the board" is not welcoming to new members. I can assure you that this is not the intent. I, too, wish we could go back to discussing Brian.

LARS has been around for what is, on the Internet, a very long time. Some posters have been here for a long time too. Friendships will develop. That cannot be prevented and, really, why should it be? If you are irritated by some of the discussions, the best suggestion I have is to ignore them and not even read them. The way this board is set up makes that very easy: all you have to do is not click on the links.

Nobody called you creepy because of your bipolar condition. Please understand that we couldn't even have known, not until you told us. All we had were the posts made from the same IP that were very different in tone depending on whether they were made by Teardrop or Sistah.

So I suggest we go back to discussing Brian. He was, after all, an extraordinary musician and a fascinating person. Surely we haven't run out of Brian topics to discuss? I can't do collages like Linda (I wish I was only half as talented as she is), but I can post pics. Here's one I've always loved:
