Unfortunately, I don't know a lot about it. In general, I feel like both sides really need to cut the crap. I understand that the Jewish people needed somewhere to go after the Holocaust, because all their old houses and jobs had been taken over. However, I think shafting the Palestinians from their country and their third most holy city is not a good move either. You really can't tell a bunch of people to leave their homes because somebody else needs it. They didn't make all the Germans evacuate Berlin. Both sides are using unfair tactics that are not helping anyone, and then the other side gets angry and retaliates. I understand why they are angry, but at some point, someone has to just stand up and turn the other cheek if you want to have peace. (See Gandhi, the U.S. Civil Rights Movement)

That's oversimplifying the situation. But what angers me is that the U.S. hasn't been taking a neutral stance in this conflict, and has sided with the Israelis while trying to be a peacemaker. (And they wonder why it isn't working...)

I would love to discuss this further, but I'm really busy right now. :(
