Oh come on, did you really think that I wouldn't be the first one to review the show?

American Idol: Unoriginal Idol judge parodies and unfunny dialogue. Sorry, didn't like this.

Monologue: Wait a minute, you're telling me that Julia was a member of the SNL cast? Weird. Anyway, this was a good one, it was amusing to see that no one could recall anything she'd done during her stint on the show. That, and learning that three years only accounted for five "best of" sketches. I really enjoyed seeing the banter between Julia and the audience, especially when the guy wanted to know if he could trade in the DVD. Nicely done.

The Psychiatrist: it had a humorous premise, but it seemed a little too rushed. I would have preferred it if Dr. Bennett hadn't revealed what she was doing to Robert so quickly. Maybe she could have strung him along to learn some of his dirty secrets, then burst out laughing. Still, it had some good moments, like her patient's incredibly messed-up problems and learning she posted them all on a website. Plus, I enjoyed the reference to the stateroom scene from "A Night at the Opera".

Monk's Coffee Shop: I was really hoping that we could avoid a Seinfeld sketch simply because a former cast member was on the show, it just seemed like a cop-out. The characters acted just as they did on the show, the whole "they hate each other" concept has been done with sitcom reunion parodies before, and their lines weren't that funny.

"So Late It's Murder" Late Night Movie: Humor that breaks the fourth wall can be quite enjoyable. I enjoyed the jabs at SNL's degredation, and the dialogue in "Fight to the Finish in Space" was very funny. I especially how Queen Kalyia's name kept getting messed up. The only things I didn't like were the Bob Saget-Korean Porn bit and the "dry humping" lines, the sketch could have done without them in my opinion.

The Actress II: I don't know why, but I just can't get into these "Actress" sketches. The premise didn't seem that funny, and I didn't really think the dialogue was that good with the exception of the "tam-tams" as a kosher snack. That was pretty funny, but the rest just fell flat.

The Adventures of Boney: Jason, I have got to know how you come up with stuff like this. I would have loved to seen this piece acted out. Great premise, great lines, total absurdity all around. I loved how the interviewer's line of questioning kept delving into Boney's oddities ("Why are you wearing shoes") Just a killer piece.

Flirty Barry: I felt kind of dumb at first because it took three readings to realize "Oh, it rhymes with Dirty Harry!" Yeah, I felt foolish after that. This was an amusing piece, not laugh out loud but effectively humorous. The quasi-flirtatious banter between Barry and Linda was well-written with a lot of great one liners, particularly the kangaroo piece and "What if you were my mother?" The ending was kind of predictable, though, but still carried out well. I probably would have enjoyed it more if I had ever seen Dirty Harry.
