Subject: Mark, stop taking my criticisms personally

I don't know why you treat my reviews as personal attacks.

Look, I have no vendetta against you, and I am sorry if I hurt your feelings. My sense of humor is simply different from yours. I don't really go for the pop culture bits, the celebrity bits, the Bush bits, stuff like that. These are my own personal preferences. I am criticising the piece, not the writer.

You're a good writer, Mark, you've written some killer material. "How do you know I'm not?" was a great piece you had this year. "Rocky and the Duke" was one of your best in my opinion. But some of your sketches just didn't appeal to me based on their content. My disliking of the sketch is not based on my disliking you.

Please, we need to put an end to this nonsense. You just have to understand that not everyone will think everything you write is funny. When people say they don't like a sketch I wrote, yeah I might be a little disappointed that it wasn't well received, but I don't get mad at the person who said so. I use that criticism to figure out where to improve.
