Subject: Behind the Scenes: Saturday Night Live

I borrowed an interesting videotape from the university library yesterday, which appears to be an exclusive academic library item so check your college library media collection next time you're on campus!

It's a broadcast courtesy of the University Satellite Saminar Series, taped on 4/19/99 at the Museum of Television & Radio. The panelists are Lorne Michaels, Al Franken, Jim Downey, Tim Herlihy, Tim Meadows, Marci Klein, and Michael Shoemaker. It starts off with the introductions of the above, then a few minutes of sketch and musical guest clips from '75-'99, a couple of general questions from the host of the presentation, then on to live phone-in questions from college students around the nation (pranksters, many of them).

I posted a few excerpts online. The embedded videos are in the Reply.
