It's worth a shot. Anyway, might as well get my review over with.

An address from the president of NBC (skipping the rest): It was okay. I felt that maybe Jack Donaghy should have explained the reason why he was changing all the titles to be similar to David Bowie songs because he thought that would give them the same success as "Heroes", then rationalized it with an odd explanation ("My astrologer told me it was a great idea.") The David Bowie title bit kind of got old quickly, though I did like the comments about 1 vs. 100, Deal or No Deal and 30 Rock. Those were quite funny.

Monologue: I suppose it was inevitable that there'd be a Steve Martin/Alec Baldwin confrontation. The two had some clever banter, and I liked how they kept attempting to one-up each other. Goodman's cameo was pretty nice - I enjoyed the lines about how SNL can be "Funny" again, and trying to make a buck by breaking the fourth wall. It was good to see that he was properly used, not just dragged in for a pointless cameo like the actual show did.

An Interview With Thomas Edison: I wrote this sketch based on the assumption that sock puppets can make anything funny. Hopefully this proves true. If it's well received, I may just bring Francois back for future appearances.

Attack of the Bed Bugs: Too short, and it didn't really deliver. I thought this would be a send-up of animal-attack horror movies, making fun of the elements you see in all of them. But Wanda only had a few lines, and they weren't that funny. There could have been a lot more done with this piece (bedbugs attacking, the military devising a plan to fight the bugs, Fred in a giant bug suit, ect.)

A&E Biography: First off, if this was supposed to be coverage of a past debate, it doesn't qualify as a biography, so the title is misleading. (For this heinous offense you will be sentenced to 20 lashes, Mr. Walsh). Regarding the sketch, I couldn't really find anything funny with it. And the premise is rather dated - the debates were 2 years ago, it's old news. Sorry.

Weekend Update: Dude, I was the only WU contributor again. What gives? Well, at least I got a commentary in so it wasn't too short.

Drunk Motorist Trying to Avoid Policeman's Wrath: Another newcomer to the site - welcome aboard Evan. This was an okay premiere sketch. It had some good lines (the Alan Reed/ poltergeist, "Did we rob a bank?", and the "apple juice" bits were my favorite), thought it seemed to be a little hard to follow at points and it was pretty heavy on loudness and vulgarity. I did like the ending where it turned out the cop wasn't an actual officer, and where the drivers almost had an epiphany but then decided to get even more loaded. Not bad.

Comedy Central Presents John Kerry: Um... sorry, didn't really find it that funny. I guess that was the point of the sketch, but it just didn't appeal to me. Again, sorry.

Superman is not a Dick: Inspired by a website I frequently visit, superdickery.com. I'd highly recommend it for a few good laughs.

Raccoon: Killer piece. It did a good job of straddling the 4th wall, some great one-liners, and the twist at the end with the bear was quite funny. The best "guys in animal costumes" sketch I've seen in quite some time.

Rumsfeld: Sorry, again, this didn't really appeal to me. As I've said before, I'm not much a fan of sketches that try to blend politics with pop culture.

CNN Special Saturday Night Report: This was a good sketch, if a bit non-linear. I thought the jabs at the pundits were quite humorous (especially loved the cracks about James Carville's accent and Brit Hume's stare), and it was great seeing Alan not know anything about the campaign he worked on. Saddam's commentary was pretty good, and again, there was a nice job of breaking the 4th wall with the comment about how people don't want to appear on Saturday night TV, plus our 150th show celebration. Thanks for the cheers, Prateek, and here's to 150 more! Oh, if you don't mind my asking, though, was the name confusion part of the party based on people mispronouncing your name? Just asking.
