I didn’t write anything for the WU this week... so I thought I would do a joke by joke analysis.
Well we definitely didn’t delay the hurricane jokes. It’s not a bad thing but... it’s all about perspective. I’m not offended, but I know SNL would have definitely limited their jokes. In the 1st episode after 9-11... not only was it a month later but they kept the references to minimum. So yeah that’s something to think about since it’s only been 2 weeks.

Hurricane: sympathy... not really. The turnaround with the joke about people leaving. Not the best joke considering... some people didn’t even have the resources to move. Buses and transportation weren’t provided till much later in the situation, gotta get the facts right before we joke about it.
Taft: What better to follow a hurricane joke than a Hitler reference... acceptable joke though
Chief Justice: Heh yeah... good jab at this whole John Roberts mess.
Saddam Hussein: Yes... we all want to see him die, but as a joke on WU... it just doesn’t work, nothing new or interesting. But that’s just me.
Australia: Does the writer of this joke have a hatred of Australians? There are special forums for this kind of material.
Australia Frogs: Clever punch line and this is my first favorite joke of the week!
Condileeza Rice: Solid joke I ended up chuckling at the Oreo line.
Dick Cheney: This Wu bit was waaay too short! I’ve never heard Refugee by Tom Petty. I know I know, I suck. But repeating lyrics from a song isn’t the best comedic piece for WU, it’s better as a musical bit in a sketch.
THE LONG Gay Marriage Joke: We go from too short to TOO LONG! Sorry but this was a swing and miss.
Marine lights: Solid joke... uh HI MOM!
Rumsfeld: Heh, I laughed at the thought of Donald Rumsfeld sitting next to Al Roker and Triumph on Squares.
Vincent Fox: Standard Mexican joke... but you would’ve made Carlos Mencia very proud... or angry. He’s always yelling on his show.
Hong Kong: I hated Ovaltine as well, my second favorite of the week!
Japan Cheese: Kind of sick, but funny nonetheless, my final favorite of the week!
Ann Rice: Vampire author... okay I guess.
ABC: Yeah... this would have definitely received some booing! Uh yeah...
Diddy: This was waay too short again, except this time... it was so short it lacked a punch line. Sorry, but I think it would have been better if you did a commentary on how white he’s become.
VMA: It was simple, but it’s about time somebody dissed the VMA’s.
Nicholas Cage: We get it... he’s intense, and it’s not funny anymore
Drew Barrymore: The “Drew Barrymore is crazy”jokes are old also.
Jude Law: You could have stopped the joke after “pulling the old Hugh Grant routine”. The rest was pointless. Then again... Hugh Grant prostitute jokes are getting stale.
Donald Trump: I’m tired of Trump period. Humor-wise we’ve done it all and I’m tired of his goddam show. Why can’t he just go back to his real estate ventures and leave showbiz! But the eerie thing is... Trump might be stupid enough to actually say that line.
Nick and Jessica: Make sure your punch-line is spelled correctly. Was it “stay in the car” it should have been “Nick has been asked to sing in the car”.
Roger Ebert: That’s the problem when we try to take a jab at comedic movies that are actually good. There really was nothing special about this review. It was almost like a time filler or something. And there was no point in dissing The Office... it’s the only decent show on NBC! Except for that sketch comedy show that we talk about a lot. That’s also why I only stuck with bad films for my sketch. The best way to do a review bit is to slaughter a horrible film, pick out everything annoying in it and there were plenty of bad films for you to use... ones I didn’t use due to time were Hustle and Flow, Red Eye and Underclassman.

I think I was a little harsh this time, but I think it’s time to get harsh. It’s a harsh review that will better our comedy. But yeah... it was still a decent WU. Well I’m going to try and get the rest of the show reviewed, but please... if anyone else has time please make some comments.
