Awkard title, but normal review. Well I said I’d review this episode so I will. After wards I’ll finish the Carrell review and then I’ll get to work on my nominations and post
them by Monday.

Bigger Fish: Saw Big Fish loved it. Read the sketch and I loved it. Wow Pat you’re really giving it to the SNL establishment and I respect that. But the ending was an excellent twist. Jason Sudeikis popping out was a perfect example of comedic randomness. And it’s probably the only time he’ll say the phrase.

Monologue: I have to say this is an excellent parody of The Island. I planned to do something like this for Willy James, but yours was better by all accounts. I love it when somebody besides the host says we’ve got a great show. I think it may have been a bit too much with Steve Buscemi getting all crazy, but that is how he talks so it was okay.

Hard Times: Prison Sketches… let the anal rape jokes fly. I only find it funny outside of a prison setting. It’s too predictable in a prison sketch. But the premises for this was okay, Ewan basically is THE MAN* in the slammer. So yeah... the ending was okay, not as powerful as your others. But it was still a solid sketch.

What’s Eating You?: I really want to do an old style hygiene type sketch. MADtv did a lot of those and they were okay at first. Not a fan of cannibalism, and it did get a little gory but I think you really managed to pull off a decent sketch Jim. Loved the communism comparison and the standard high school setting used in all hygiene films.

Let it Out: Loved the whole premises of this sketch. I always wanted to do a funeral sketch that was in good taste. The concept was great... because it’s so crazy when seeing all the emotions run wild at funerals. Once again Jason... your endings are killer, Stanley questioning the number of relatives. I must commend you on a job well done, good sketch!

WU: I won’t do a joke by joke this time. But I think this was one of our better updates. We had 5 writers so it was pretty diverse group. The Yahoo serious bit was clever, though I didn’t like hearing about getting fucked by a kangaroo. The Island Review was short but it was worth a laugh. Joke-wise loved the BTK Killer joke and the Iraqi Constitution joke

Chit Chat: Perfect sketch… and more subtle than my bathroom sketch. I think I went overboard with the vomit. But I found everything well times, and the ending was hilarious with his mother walking into the bathroom like that. I just love when 2 random people come together and hilarity strikes. Good start and finish. I just hope this wasn’t based on any real experiences with crab cakes.

Before I end I just want to thank Mark and Jason for letting me co-write their sketches. These were two awesome ideas and I was happy to help. So that concludes this review.

*I’m all for subliminal movie plugs, but THE MAN doesn’t deserve to be plugged. Eugene Levy, you failed me! You’re better off just doing that Levitra commercial, and appearing on the OC.
