Subject: A Leftover and it's not Thanksgiving Yet!
In reply to: Patrick Lonergan 's message, "REVIEWS: Jason Lee 11/12/05" on 08:54:02 11/12/05 Sat

I was going to finish a full length review, but Finals and other duties delayed me. But I had some time before "Thanksgivin' Thursday" so I finished this leftover WU. So enjoy this WU review. I may provide some brief comments on both November episodes so Look forward to that.

Paris Riots: Nice one!
Poll: Um... yeah, just the standard bush joke!
Jordan: Bush is dumb, but yet I was laughing, maybe it’s because hearing about His airness is funny!
Judith Miller: Ooh good jab
Duvall vs. Bush: Too wordy and not enough comedy
Elvis: Nice reference to a classic.
Tommy Peters: Ah so the lazy ass senior from the Swank WU returns. Logically he should have graduated high school by this time! Unless he was held back. You should have made light of this. The MILF gag was worthless and once he got into his commentary, it’s nothing more than weak versions of stale jokes, sorry but this was a miss!
A-Rod Gambling: Heh nice one, my first favorite joke of the week.! GO SOX! Red or white who cares!
Cheerleaders: This saw promise, but fell flat.
Kobe Bryant and Pete Rose: Both were stale subjects, but the Pete Rose one was more creative. To sum it up, Kobe bad Pete good!
Gonorrhea:
Subway: This was worth a chuckle
Where in the Studio is Seth Meyers?: This was actually well written with switch around with Andy. Having him in Horatio’s dressing room was a nice touch. All Horatio pot-shots are good in my book. So excellent work!
Michael Douglas: Sticking out the penis... yeesh, more sick than funny! It’s jokes like these that let everyone know we don’t hold anything back. Is there censorship... FUCK NO! I’m thinking that if high schoolers read this stuff at school they’d probably get suspended. Heh, that should SNY’s new slogan. Getting High schoolers suspended since 2001!
Ortho Erva: Yes! Good jab at the whole Abortion mess, 2nd favorite joke of the week!
Conan’s new son: this was okay, too predictable a punchline...
The Game: Ahaha, his name’s the game. Not bad, but it’ll become like the Eminem/ M&M joke after awhile.
Get Rich or Die Tryin: Yeah, this was a stupid story and weak joke.
Alba: Nice jab at Alba, because we all want to “jab” Jessica! Please hold your applause... and it’s my final favorite of the week!
London Tooth: Um absurd punch-line, and too weird to be funny
Sri Lanka: Same thing again, it was absurd but in an unfunny way.
Will Arnett: Damn, I didn’t realize it was going to be cancelled. More Simple Life but less Development, Jesus Christ! But who’s the real moron here: some executives, or a guy who had faith in the FOX Network. This was a good idea, but it was a bit too forced. The boat gag, yeah not funny on SNL and not funny here! The rest was just angry tones that lacked any real humor.
Bruce Willis: Um... okay, the Ashton and Bruce jokes are getting old, and this one just seemed angry! Why are these humorless jokes so angry, it’s a mystery!

Once again, I'm getting harsh. Ah well, it's okay! We're all strong enough to take it, I hope. Now I just want to end by wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. Thank you and goodnight.
