All right everybody here is my review for the Johnny Knoxville show, but first a few news bits…

TV show of the week: Make sure to catch Family Guy this week at 9pm Sunday on Fox, trust me you’ll like it, also see if your up to the challenge to catch every Law and Order on NBC, if you do congratulations you have no life, that or you have tivo.

DVD of the week: The Sandlot, granted this film has been out for a long time but it is an absolute classic, if you haven’t seen it, well go out and rent it or hell buy it, its that good. Although on the other side of the coin, stay away from The Sandlot 2, it is wretched.

Now onto the review…

Lorne’s worst nightmare Mark Jennings Reese II

“He’s an L-7 weiner”

I am sorry to say it but this felt more like a commentary against the show then it did an actual sketch. One thing that bothered me in this sketch is Tracy shows up, says his line and then does nothing. Also everyone knows Tina is a lesbian, having Lorne in bed with him is just crazy, although seriously its something that should have been developed a bit more. On the whole I agree with the opinions about the show, but the sketch kind of left me cold.

Knoxville Monologue- DRG4

“Your killing me Smalls!”

This one also seemed to be a bit more of a commentary on the show, although it seemed to be a little closer to a normal sketch. I did like how Johnny and Chris looked at each other and thought they were the same person. Dissing “Anchorman” though seemed a tad too random and not worthy of being insulted. I liked the ending of this sketch but once again it definitely could have been expanded on a little more than it was.

Late Night with Conan O’Brien John Ravetti

“You play ball like a girl!”

Ah one of those pure guilty pleasure sketches. While I wont say that this was a high class sketch I did like the pure dirtyness of it. There are only really two problems with this sketch. One, Darrell Hammond as Conan, I don’t think so. Second, this feels like a sketch that would actually air on Conan, and not SNL. Something tells me John got this sketch idea from the recent “Extrava-Conanza” that’s been going on during the show. Still though this made me laugh as I have a similar bit in Weekend Update so thumbs up.

I’ll be back later with Part 2 of the review

Jack
