Let's get rolling...

Nucular Option: At first I wasn’t too keen about this sketch. But it grew on me. It was quite an exceptional Cold Opening, Jim. The violence was a little over the top, but it was well executed. I enjoyed the bit about Ted Kennedy, but the bit dragged on. I think the effect would have been better if he was shot at twice instead of 4 times. It seemed Forte as Helms was a play off of Zell Miller. But other than that it was a solid sketch.

Lohan Monologue: Featuring Jay-C: I like the idea behind the mono. I never really enjoyed Jay-C. But after the WU from De Niro and Court TV, I learned to laugh at his clever/sick one-liners. Here’s another fine example of Jay-C. I would have given him some closure though, being taken away by security is not closure. Lindsey is all whored up now, she should have given in. Other than that it was an okay monologue

Excalibur Escort Services: Personal favorite for this week. Fred Armisen is the next great spokesman. The cat-fight and that bit about the 2 for 1 coupon were my favorite parts of the sketch. The one-liners were excellent. A fine commercial that proves that SNL has a lot to learn with their commercials. I mean for god sakes pubic hair shampoo! What the hell were they thinking!

Women’s Synchronized Snoring: Clever sketch Brian Dean. It’s great when a newcomer writes a good sketch for their first episode. If I would have been able to see it, the effect would have been even funnier. But you managed to really pull it together. The jab at sports enhancing drugs was a nice touch.

Weekend Update: Solid Update this week. My favorite jokes were the WMD’s in BVDs joke, the Budweiser joke(ironic, since they rip-off the daily show with actual clips), and the Rev. Sharpton joke.
Brad Pitt Commentary: I do enjoy when inner thoughts are used. Nice jabs at Tina’s pregnancy.
Bush Commentary: It was a bit extreme with Bush ranting on and on about women and black rights. Although his comments toward Tina and Amy were worth laughing at.

Full-House Updated: I never really watched any episodes of this show. But in March I caught an episode of it on Nick at Nite. I have to say this show plays off kiddie and senseless humor, and there’s nothing entertaining about it.(The only old show worth watching is Fresh Prince) As far as this sketch goes, it was just bland. I did find the annoyance of Joey a good bit. But other than that, it was just weak. But I give you a good effort, because good TV Parodies are hard to come by. I don’t think my Raymond finale was that great either. I’m definitely laying off them for a while.

Well, it was a good season. Good Luck to you Mark! Keep up the good work everyone, and let’s get ready for the Mock Season!
