What a fine question you bring up Joel.

I actually started visiting the site back in early 2003 after I had finished my latest community play I unfortunately had to go back to "real work" in order to pay the bills. Due to this real work the world of acting has been cut off to me for the past few months so I needed another creative outlet, thats when I thought about writing for SNY. I had been a big SNL fan for many years but never even tried to write for the show but I started to have far too much time on my hands and thats not a good thing so I started writing for this place and its been going great. I honestly would love to work in television although I am not holding my breath. As for SNL while I do think its possible I could become a cast member I would put more money behind the possibility of being a writer since their are usually more of them out their then cast members. My ultimate goal though would be to just be able to get a living paycheck out of acting or writing, if I became rich too then that would just be gravy on my nice mashed potatoes.

If my writing here could help me to get a job as a equity actor at disney world I would consider myself pleased. So to answer your question Joel its kind of all of the above, with sites such as this it is guaranteed that the spirit of SNL will never die.

Jack
