...but I'm responding anyways.

I've loved a lot fo sketch comedy that I've seen on TV, not anywhere near exclusively SNL. I grew up on You Can't Do That on Television (a still unrivaled kid's sketch comedy show) and became a big fan of Saturday Night Live, Exit 57 and Kids in the Hall once my cable started carrying Comedy Central in the mid 90's. I watch this stuff a lot, and it's no secret that SNL is one of the big movers and shakers in the televised sketch comedy world. I enjoy everything it represents, and tune in frequently to see what's going on.

As to why I come here in particular though, well about a year and three quarters ago I wrote a "humorous" story for my creative writing class at college. I had become a bit dissatisfied with my major (available on request, suffice to say I get a lot of questionable looks as to how I could not like it and the substantial pay/importance involved...) and was looking to branch out into something I enjoyed more, even if just as a hobby. So I stumbled on this site and started writing some sketches. Then I started critiquing sketches. I wish everything I did here wasn't so damn theoretical, but I just really enjoy taking comedic ideas and working them out to see where they lead.

On a somewhat sidenote, since I started writing here, I also became a substantial contributor to the humor section of the student magazine at my college and involved myself with a few improv workshops. Most of that is only scratching the improv surface though, as I have yet to live somewhere that I can truly get into the whole thing.

Anyway, it's just a hobby for now, but I wouldn't be surprised to see me try to ride it for more than that in the near future. I doubt I would feel a need to be specifically on SNL. My loyalties are to sketch comedy as a form, not the show in particular.
