I dunno, you guys. I agree with the shallowness factor in all of this, but at the same time, maybe they're trying to open things up a bit, and not limit who gets on by agencies and sketch troupes. I mean, I don't think I will knock it until I see how the first little bit turns out. If you think about it, it's a very "Lorne" decision. He's all about rolling with the times and incorporating the show into every pop culture element he can. I don't think this stunt is any different than some of the stuff in years past.

Also, I would go to one of these auditions in a New York Minute. My dream for the past 6 years has been to be on SNL. I'm currently in training at Ohio University's late-night comedy show "Fridays Live." Last year was my first year, and I was promoted to head writer this year. Also, I've been one of the lead impressionists. The show has quite the following too... it's not just a crappy public access show. I mean, an opportunity like this would be a good step for me, and for anyone who would want to take on this kind of work seriously.
