The rest of this review will be written, but not tonight.

I was asked recently why I sometimes skip reviewing WU. I gave half the reason, that I often have trouble getting through it. The other reason is because I often don't like the jokes much and can be quite harsh. So here now is a joke by joke review; don't say I didn't warn you.
General Motors: Not funny. Why? Because turn-out last year, while not spectacular, was not a low either. For a comment like this to work, it needs to have some degree of truth. Else, it seems like poor proselytizing.
ADHD: Didn't find this too funny, and very few anchors have been able to score with jokes like this.
Car Bomb: A good joke and a good follow-up.
Iraqi Turnout: First off, Republicans (aka our government for those not in denial) are blazing full speed ahead with the banner of it being a good turnout, so your set-up isn't even true unless you qualify it by naming a specific person or group. More importantly, poking fun at Carrot Top just isn't worth it. What are we, Leno?
Cream: This would be funnier if we didn't have three or four of these type of jokes every week.
North Korea: Decent political joke. Bit preachy for my tastes, but alright.
PETA: Oh god, the fried chicken stereotype joke again? C'mon.
Cursed: See comment for Cream. Also, Ricci is not one for this formula, she's been steadily making good movies for quite some time.
Seth's Commentary: You'd do yourself a favor to lose the lame stuff about Amy hating the pope, but the rest of this was decent and funny.
Evil Woman: This joke would be better coming out of the mouth of a guy, but it is funny nonetheless.
Mexico: The punch and set-up don't match up too well. Are the Mexicans forcing the Indians into buggery? Tye-dye teepees would work much better.
Juice: I question the validity of this set-up. I question the hilarity of this punchline.
Ginseng: The sentence is super-garbled here, a rewrite would help. Moderately funny.
Michael Jackson: Like JLo a year ago, even jokes of Michael's over-exposure are over-exposed.
McCartney: See comment on Cream, and comment on Ricci.
Feldman: See comment on Cream.
Friends: Even if the cast of Friends not being friends was funny, this joke, in one form or another, has appeared in our WU's at least five times already! This is nowhere near the ballpark of Frank Stallone, stop bringing it back!
Will Smith: A fun, quick study in the humor of shameless self-promotion.
Batting Average (not including commentaries): 4 for 16 = .250
Hits were italicized
I know, I know, I shouldn't complain if I didn't submit anything. Still, I know we can do much better than this, I've seen very good WU's before.

This seemed like the standard treatment the big time trials were getting in the mid 90's on SNL. No real weak spots that I could notice except for my general disinterest in the subject matter. While I don't like your Jay-C character much, I do appreciate that you found a way to weave him into your sketch without it seeming out of place.

I really enjoyed this piece. The dialogue was sharp and there were lots of small little jokes. As a rather straight played story translation, the overall arch wasn't really too comic, but I think that suited the piece. The humor was in the throw-aways and side comments; the warmth was in the Saint Valentine's spirit. A very deft way of doing something special for the holiday. What a random cameo too.

This certainly is one of the more bizarre American Idol parodies to have been written. Roly was a good idiotic character and I like that your Simon Cowell analog was fed up enough to take action. Chum seemed kind of stupid, but he stomping the math at the end was a very good absurd turn to take. Popeye was a terrific reveal for final competitor (which isn't much of a reveal when you put him on the show's logo!) and I think you did an excellent job writing dialogue for him.
