Subject: Jack Farrell's Super Awesome SNY Show Review Part I
In reply to: Patrick Lonergan 's message, "REVIEWS: Philip Seymour Hoffman 08/14/04" on 16:51:13 08/14/04 Sat

Hello their fellow SNY'ers, time for yet another review. I have decided to add a little bit of personal stuff to my reviews akin to what they do over at the www.saturday-night-live.com website.

This week in sports the baseball season is finally nearing its end and as usual my local team the tampa bay devil rays doesnt have a prayer. Also in football news some 8th round picks and free agents were cut from my local team the buccaneers. Yes I know this interests all of you greatly.

In entertainment news this week here are my tv picks for the week

Tuesday: Nothing
Wednesday: Drew carey show (yes its still on the air) new episodes at 9 and 9:30 eastern time.
Thursday: old frasier reruns
Friday: Monk Season Finale
Saturday: Normally it would be the obvious but for now its olympics time.
Sunday: Simpsons, Six Feet Under, Dead Zone

As for my movie pick of the week its Open Water. Two rich yuppies are left in the middle of the ocean to fend for themselves against sharks that were rejected for the Jaws movies.

Now finally onto the review

SNY: The Bastard by Yours Truly

Well I wont go to into depth on this sketch since I did write it. This is my fav sketch I have written so far on SNY although quality wise I do believe my Presidential Roast sketch would have a lot better chance of actually getting on SNY. Overall though I think that Jack is one hilarious bastard. Okay anyhoo...

SNY: The Monologue

This monologue was okay but I have to be honest it didnt make me bust a gut laughing. Granted though I do believe the monologue is one of the hardest things to do on every show. After I read this sketch I was reminded of the bit on the MTV Movie Awards where Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn (I think) try and get Peter Jackson to do another Lord of the Rings film after the third one had the ring destroyed in freakin lava. Still though I give you credit with coming up with even an okay monologue, just check out my crap from the scarlett show, now thats bad.

SNY: Crystaline by Patrick "the virtual Lorne" Lonergan

I liked this sketch it only had one joke but it didnt pretend that it had more than that in it. It was also a funny sketch because those dishwasher commercials are always making stainfighting sound like a bloody war. I cant wait for terminix to start talking about how they'll rip the eyes out of the termites head then impale their hearts with blades of steel.

Show Review to be continued...
