Subject: My Chappelle Show Review
In reply to: Patrick Lonergan 's message, "REVIEWS: Dave Chappelle 9/04/04" on 18:12:28 09/04/04 Sat

Here it is my review. The 1st part anyways.

Monologue: Dave Chappelle gets mistaken for Dave LaChappelle a director. This was more of a monologue of Career Jabs. But when you work within a monologue this is what your restrained. The Kenan insert was hilarious. to. 7 out of 10.

Nice Ass Boxers: This is a timely sketch. Obvously right now the fashion is to have your pants so low that your underwear is exposed. I think you were also trying to pay tribute I’m #1 Hat! This was quite amusing, and you had a great parody of how people are easily manipulated by what’s your clothes say. 8 out of 10.

Montell Willams: This was an excellent sketch. This was made for Dave Chappelle, because he does this on his own show. Exposing sophisticated black people as the ghetto guys, you had Kenan playing the old woman. I could easily picture this on SNL, and I nominate this for the best of Summer Episodes. But I’ll post it. 9/10 because you could have however continued with this bit.

Corta-Trim: HAHA-Dieting to the extreme. This is a great sketch, because it shows how crazy and diet frenzy we can get. It has a straight-forward ending. You wanna be thin, just have a head and screw your body. The fat jokes were a plus also. 8 out of 10.

Chappelle Remembers Rick James: A simple Tribute sketch that ends with “Rick James Bitch!” I enjoyed the setup for the clip. It provides laughter at a time of despair. 9out of 10.

Stay Tuned for More Reviewing action. Plus Look for my nominations for our best of summer 2004 sketches.
