I said I would review and I did. Here it is.

Opening: Another Debate Parody. I have seen them all. I find it funny that Ralph Nader appears as himself every time. This one followed the same format, Bush doesn’t answer his questions and John Kerry talked about Cheney’s Lesbian daughter. It’s all the same now. Personally I want the winner to be decided so we don’t have any more election sketches. Actually this election works out in favor of Will Forte. If Bush wins he’s covered, and if Kerry wins he can be Edwards and pull of a supporting role in sketches.

Monologue: I already commented on this, but just to reiterate, it was really developed idea. You spent a lot of time on it Jim. I think that this premises was perfect for the monologue and not some other sketch. I really hate when the host tries to play himself/herself in a sketch. The show is made to test out characters, and hosts should step out of their boundaries. But overall, a great monologue, best one I’ve seen in a long time. I love how after the host announces the musical guest there is still a joke or something. For Example, Tobey Mcguire’s monolouge, he said. “We have a great show,” and Adam Mckay’s heckler character announces, “No we don’t it’s Jar Jar Binks, change the channel,”.

However, after Ashlee’s stunt her dead pool value will definitely change. This whole controversy taught me that I shouldn’t change the channel during the musical performances. This seems like something that can become a “Milli Vanilli” situation, but I really don’t think so. Many artists do use vocal tracks as accompaniment. She did say that she was having singing problems because of her “acid reflux condition”. I saw the clip online and I have to say that the way she handled it was horrible. Doing that little hoe down dance was pathetic.

Perfect Tenant: Jude Law as the British Tenant, amazing! But I enjoyed the message of the sketch, how we Americans think the British are sophisticated pomps. Overall it was very effective and the ending was just right.

O’Reilly Factor: Just in time for his whole controversy. It worked out to be very effective. Rob Riggle is a nice choice for Bill O’Reily. Having Bill interview himself was the best way to go about it. Nice job, with the ending. The only flaw was the Jude Law insert. It really wasn’t funny. I think it wasn’t really necessary. There could have been additional dissing of his movies or something like that.

WU: In case your wondering, I only wrote the BET Eminem joke,, but I was going to put that Arnold Commentary as said before.
The jokes were very well thought out this week. My favorites was the flu jokes, and the space man joke, and the Bill O’ Reilly Joke. A far as the commentaries go, they were a bit short this time. Bill Clinton bit was okay, but I found the Ralph Nader bit much more effective. I just have to say this. Why did George Bush gave his Kindergarten teacher, the teacher of the year award? That is just sad.

Breaking the Habit: This is one of those really original idea sketches. I like them, even though they sometimes may not be 100% hilarious they manage to be a solid sketch. It managed to have the humor and that’s what matters. Nice touch with the Care Bears.

Waiting for the Bus: Jude Law’s Character seems to be a take off of Mr. Short Term memory. The couple were a great insert to the sketch. I enjoyed the simplicity of the sketch. I find it hard to do simple sketches, but you manage to pull it off. The confusion to Cake as a food or as music was a nice way to bring it all together.

Robert Downey Junior Sings: Having written a song in a sketch myself (Let’s End the Summer with a Bang!) I know the difficulty of getting rhymes together. Yours was a much more of an appropriate song, lengthwise and a complete refrain. I commend you on your effort. It can be difficult and you managed to make it extremely funny in the process.

Rivalry: Well it’s over because Boston won it! But the whole premises didn’t really suit me. It was just some big fight scene it wasn’t really a lampoon or anything. Maybe I didn’t get it and that’s just me. Yeah, there was the twist when the old guy turned out to be a Yankees fan. That was a positive part.
