I see Hillary's review, perhaps I could clarify the jokes I submitted:

Tennessee gay ban: Yeah, kind of looking back at it, it is a little bit of a lecture, but it's a dumb decision, you can't deprive people of the pursuit of happiness, that's why I lambasted the county legislature. For the record, I am a registered Republican, and I am in full favor of same-sex marriage and gay rights. I just don't like the 98% of right-wing wackos making the rest of the party look bad.

Vanderbilt: No racism jokes, but hearing terrorists compared to the KKK, I had to find a point of contrast. Sorry if it seemed too much of a smart-ass bit.

Ted Rall: Basically, the guy's a scumbag, and I wanted to point it out. The book I references is not coming out, but it kind of draws on his philosophy as a cartoonist that "The victims deserved it." In his cartoons and editorials, he has disrespected 9/11 victims, Israelis killed by Palestinian terrorists, American soldiers killed in Iraq, the widow of murdered journalist Daniel Pearl, ect., and treated them with no sympathy and made it out to appear as if they were deserving of their tragedies. If this man were alive in the 1940s, I'm sure he would have attacked Holocaust victims, though I bet this psycho believes the Holocaust never happened.

Dallas teacher: Saw it on the web, it struck my interest, I just needed to think of someone who's had a recurring history of getting in trouble for violent acts. Ike Turner was the first one who came to mind, he used to beat up Tina Turner frequently.

- Now for reviews of the rest of Update (sorry I forgot to do it earlier):

Subway Lady: Very humorous bit, there are people like this who are deluded into thinking that they've found their soulmates based on clothing, eye color, horoscopes, ect. Her reactions to Tina are priceless.

Martha Stewart: Predictable, but funny

Chlamydia: Bombed, could have been better, but it took the easy way out with Paris Hilton.

Paul McCartney: Interesting, the old guy is ready to attack the music, then he remembers it's HIS music. Nice touch.

Playboy/Home Depot: I dunno, it didn't do anything for me.

Drop in Book Sales: As a lover of fine humor, this made me laugh the hardest out of all the update jokes. As a lover of fine literature, I was quite horrified to see evidence of such a trend. Hopefully it will change. Jimmy's reasoning that the article will soon be on tape was just too clever.

PAmela Anderson: Don't know who Laytoya London is, so I didn't get it.

Alternative transportation: What's the punchline, people are running with the cans to steal gas from other cars?

Missile Shield: Didn't see the Kelly Ripa joke, so it wasn't predictable, and still funny.

Lemurs: "sweet (insert animal name) porn" has been done to death, so this fell flat.

Parnell commentary: The first paragraph is kind of lacking in humor, and is more of a tirade against Bush and Nader. The second paragraph picks up the slack, though, despite a few spelling and grammar errors. Interesting origin of how "third parties" are formed, the parallel to picking out a cellmate was an odd, but comical touch, and it culminates with an admission that none of the candidates are qualified for the job of running the country. If I may suggest, here is my plan to choose a great president: get a cell sample from Abraham Lincoln's corpse, clone him, put him through an accelerated aging process while subliminally providing him with the century and a half of knowledge that has been obtained while he was dead, and once he's been brought up to speed, get him to run for president.

Ooh boy, looking at how I ended that post, I think I need to take my medicine.
