This is my first year reading and contributing to this site. I must say everyone here is very talented and I enjoyed most of what I read. You can't expect everything to be funny (including much of the real show these days) but I feel that even if humour is sometimes lacking the premises for the sketches are always interesting and risks are constantly being taken. Colin Firth was imho by far the funniest show, while the shows from Trump onward were kind of weak (though I think a lot of that has to do with the hosts themselves being difficult to write for). Here are my fave sketches of the season, in some kind of order.

10) Version Wireless, Kelly Ripa. A clever and amusing parody, one that was overdue at the time.

9) Adipose Issues, Megan Mullally. I think is funny in a silly kind of way. Reminds me a lot of the good kind of closing sketches that SNL sometimes does. Mullally might have been a better choice over Dratch but that does not detract much from this amusing sketch.

8) Buzz and Sal Jr., Colin Firth. Another silly kind of sketch. Much better than those Z105 skits.

7) Baby Adoption, Jennifer Aniston. A great character for Parnell to play.

6) Misunderstanding Dad, Colin Firth. Another funny character for Parnell to play. I enjoyed the absurdity of it all. Some great lines here.

5) The Jayson Blair Hour, Ben Affleck. Very amusing parody which is to the point. Kenan would do great in this role.

4) Remote Mistake, Christina Aguilera. I don't what it is about this sketch but it made me laugh out loud. I think the casting is again excellent in this one and I can picture it being excellent in my head. Good job.

3) Fisherman Job Interview, Colin Firth. I think the character of the fisherman was handled excellently. Absurd but funny look at that kind of lifestyle.

2) The Alliance, Al Sharpton. Very clever hybrid kind of sketch. I think this would better as a short film of sorts than an actual sketch but it's still highly original (and funny).

1) Film Noir, Alec Baldwin. If you are going to pardoy something like this then this a good way to go about it. Hilarious lines and excellent casting choices.

There you have it.
