Date Posted: 14:10:55 10/05/07 Fri Recently spent a day at the Long Beach Solar Expo. I was quite impressed by the amount of investment in solar-PV and solar DHW. There were hundreds of exhibitors showing everything from raw cells to finished vacuum thermal collectors. I think one sign that an industry is doing well is that China tries to copy their successes, and there were dozens of chinese companies with knockoffs of panels from all the major manufacturers. There were also a lot of BOS component providers, everything from racks to inverters to cabling systems. It's in San Diego next year; highly recommended if you're interested in alternative energy.
