While I liked the movie, and I do think the other ones will be more true to the story (or I hope!), I would give the movie a B instead of a B+. It is a good film, and I will have it on DVD.. but yes, I also agree that Aragorn was not kingly enough. In more than one occassion you get the idea that he is disturbed that he is king... and only the death of Boromir allows him to see that Gondor is truly his people.

On the other hand, some of the shortcuts in the movie, I think will be fixed with the DVD. So far it is supposed to be 3 hours 40 mins, which will indeed allow for more of the hobbits, Legolas, Gimli, and some of the early sequences.

Also although there is no Tom Bombadil, I do think... they should have _some_ journey between the Shire and Bree where the Hobbits talk to eachother, and Frodo lets Pippin and Merry in on what is happening, and allowing them to formally join with Frodo and Sam and not just "hang on."
