The timing may not suit the 17/18 year olds doing their final exams but trying to squeeze another event into December would inconvenience everyone. That’s rubbish. It’s not just year 12. Uni exams are in October and November - some worth 70%. Some courses have compulsory prac. We juggle work and study and then the dance timetable is a weekday forcing us to choose. All we want is consideration of the timing of events. Just because it’s always been in September doesn’t mean it should always be. Look at the numbers in the older age groups and consider what it might look like if you applied some consideration. Last years nations was a joke with most over 15 age groups being less than 30 competitors.
