Wollongong is probably the worst place in NSW to pick, simply because it will annoy most Sydney dancers as about 98% of NSW dancers are from Sydney. No it does not take 4 hours to drive to Wollongong but personally I would not want to drive for 2 hours and be expected to dance at my best. Also Wollongong has extremely limited GOOD accomodation.       • Possibly AIDA were able to secure those rates for teachers because they have to nominate 'x' number of rooms will be booked in order to get a deal on the venue. If they don't make 'the quota' they would be charged for them as well, which would then be passed on to the rest of us in higher fees etc. This is standard practice - ring a big hotel that does weddings and make similar enquiries and you will find the same procedures can be arranged for any wedding, conference or big event.   Hi, I have just found some accomodation for Nationals that better suits my needs so will be cancelling my booking at the Sheraton. If anyone is interested in taking it over, let me know. I will cancel it on Friday. The booking I have is for an Executive Studio that has a king bed, double sofa bed, sitting area and balcony. It is booked from Monday 28/9 until Monday 5/10. I booked it last year so the rate is $290 a night, if booking now, they are charging $380 for the same room.
