You notice it more at comps like Worlds that announce all scores, when all but one AD gives very high scores like high 80's to 90's and then one gives 28. That is not personal taste, that is deliberate tanking of a dancer, and vice versa all low scores and one 100 is a favour without doubt." on Thu, May 11 2023, 21:11:20"

I agree and this happens in Australia. My DD experienced the deliberate low score at Nationals and we believe this was a result of us transferring to a new school. All other judges had her in the top ten - then one judge gave her set dance the lowest score for the entire section. Whilst we couldn’t do anything about it we know that judge was friends with our old teacher. Sadly - that’s it for us. No more dancing. Not prepared to be involved in a sport that has no safe guards in place to question what is clearly poor sportsmanship. Not to mention the way TCRG behave when you transfer. Like childish 8 year olds. No thanks!
