Subject: Protests in CA

The media is reporting thousands are protesting in CA and around the nation. I listened to Vincente Fox on Sean Hannity. Very interesting. Same old rhetoric--we take the jobs you gringos don't like, we take care of your babies, mow your lawns, etc. We're honest and hardworking, we have just as many rights as you do, therefor you have no business limiting our access to your country.

Here are some of my thoughts:
1-If employers would pay the wages that the market demands, Americans would be lining up for those jobs. By allowing illegals to take those jobs we are artificially supressing wages.

2-If you are so hardworking then you shouldn't mind that American taxpayers won't pay your Dr bills, pay for your foodstamps, etc.

3-If you really wanted to contribute to our society then you'd start by coming here legally. I don't think anyone has said keep Mexicans (or others) out of the country, just come here nicely, legally, through the proper channels, like our immigrant ancestors did.

Bush, as usual, is pandering to these minority groups and wants Congress to pass "Guest Worker provisions"--IOW, another loop hole to allow illegals to be recongized. City and state leaders have already caved (Except for GA legislature. Yeah, GA!!!). It appears that none of our gov leaders--state, local or federal--are interested in representing the American citizen but is more concerned with how he is percieved by the foreigner who is here illegally.
