Author: Janet D
Subject: I was in a chain bookstore, and had been browsing the romance novels for a new book. Saw Outlander, read the blurb, thought "time travel. nope". Went back several times, picked it up each time, finally bought it. Read it. Fell in love. Read it again. And Again. And again. Then Dragonfly in Amber came out....yup, I've been reading since very early and have endured 8 droughtlanders, though I have to say this last one seemed to be the longest!

[> Mine was seeing an AOL blurb about “books that changed your life” and there were so many “Outlander” answers I had to check it out. The librarian said, Oh you mean that time travel one? And I almost passed because I don’t read sci fi. But that old, original cover with the clock and the sword and paid, oh my!?! What the heck? And as you all know the rest is history. This happened right before the Firey Cross came out so I could binge the first five. That’s where I started my Amazon addiction - I NEEDED to own these books not just borrow from the library. -- Kathy in PA, Thu, June 02 2022, 3:34:05
