Sure, you can find the presence of recent marijuana use in the blood (and its metabolites stay in the body for a long time, so a urine test could establish marijuana consumption in the past month or so).

Alcohol is far more intoxicating than marijuana, though, and I don't know that anyone objects to it being legal on the grounds that people could use it on the job.
