Yeah, there seems to be a significant lack of respect for nature. We go in with our chemicals and genetic engineering that we're all proud of 'wow, look at what we can do with this!' and too often get away without considering that we're making fundamental changes to how things have always been done andd jump into it too quickly. We're proud of our abilities to mess with nature, but what I think would be more impressive would be to understand how nature interacts and work with it rather than against it as it seems we've been doing.
