Subject: Revolutions could ruin it all

I haven't read all of the posts here, so forgive me if I'm covering ideas that other people have already posted.

I'm concerned about revolutions because the story has been great so far, but its always easier to tell the first half of a story, then the real challenge is in the ending. Stephen king is a great example of this. He writes stories without knowing himself how it will end. If you've read his books or watched some of his films you'll know what I mean. Many of his stories have disasterous endings.

So far the Matrix story has been believable. An extremely advanced computer program at work. At no point could you say that's totally impossible, because it's all inside a virtually reality world where anything is possible.

As the story stands so far, nothing has changed my view of this complete virtual reality world. Zion is in the Matrix, the billions of human batteries are in the Matrix. Everything we've seen so far is in the Matrix.

Whenever something happens in the story that is physically impossible in our world I instantly associate that with the Matrix and too many events have occured in the "real" world to suggest its not real, its still in the matrix.

The references in certain posts to religious connections with the story line concerns me. I don't want to have to go and read the bible to understand the story.

If its not religiously orientated and zion does turn out to be in the real world then we're in to comic book territory and you might as well call the next film X-Men-Revolutions!

The following events seem to suggest that everything is occuring in the Matrix...

1. The transfer of Smith into the "real" world. (Again, if computer programs can transfer themselves into human brains and act alone in the real world then again we're into comic book territory.)

2. The destruction of the sentinels by Neo. (The real clincher. If he's not still in the Matrix here, then the "religious/comic book" story line comes into play.)

3. The handing over of the Spoon to Neo in Zion. (An odd event seeing as Neo has total power of the "first" matrix and has no need for encouragement in this area, unless of course its a message to suggest that he's still in the Matrix. The thicker spoon seems to support this.)

If this all holds true, then look for Neo to start dealing with sentinels like he deals with agents. To save Zion and then to look for a way out of the Matrix.
