Hi Laurence,
Our webmaster Nick recently sold Securus, his T501 with bilge keels - I know it's not much good telling about what's gone but he is sure to answer you soon and knows more than most about which Trappers are available.
If there are 5 of you I would have thought a 500/501 rather cramped (unless some are small children) but I'm sure I shall get shouted down for that by others. One thing is for sure, you will have difficulty finding a better layout with such good sailing qualities at that length.
There is a Trapper 500 with 501 interior layout on our For Sale page but I think it is a fin keel version, it is at:
http://www.trapper.8m.com/custom2.html
If you haven't found much information on the marque then look on my web site for some basic data, it is at:
http://homepage.hispeed.ch/bhny/Trappinit.html
You will find other owners very helpful here if you have any questions.
Good luck in your search.
Regards, Brian.
