Myself and two friends have bought a 1979 Trapper 500 called Midnight Trapper from Crosshaven Boatyard in Cork. We are truly delighted with the boat and have done some white sailing. We have a spinaker and pole and understand the previous owner never used it. We have no guys or sheets. I was wondering if anybody could advise us on the set up with the guys and sheets. Do we require a guy and sheet both sides or does one rope suffice each side? Do we require two blocks on each toe rail, one aft for the sheet and one midships for the guy? Also wondering what length these ropes need to be.
Congrats for a great forum- It is helping us already!!
Best Regards
Gareth
