If you have odd leaking bolts, you could either take them out and re-mastic them with sikaflex or similar - or try the dreaded Capt. Tolleys Creeping Crack Cure on the bolt heads. Otherwise, someone told me, the answer is to rake out as much mastic as poss. from the outside, then mask up and force new stuff into the join, then tighten down the bolts.

We are all faced with this problem, the toerail bolts and mastic do hold hull and deck together.
